What's really funny is that I was in your shoes a couple of weeks ago, Bruno. 20 yr old powder, 20 yr old manual. Accurate load records from same time span. I checked my manuals, new and old, to decide which loads to try in a recent acquisition. Some published loads I used back then are now over max so I didn't load them this time. Yep, pretty funny but after the giggles (and the range trip) I still have all my fingers and both eyes.
Folks who publish loading manuals have better equipment, more components and more time to test loads than I do. I don't think that load was unsafe back then but I'll trust their limits over my experience and records today. Seems funny but I can live with it. |
