Cimmaron
I got my new Cimmeron 1860 in today from Tom . Man these things are NICE! I like the way there is very little markings on the barrel. The Cimmaron address that is there is so tiny I had to look real hard to read it. I know these are made by uberti but what do these things go through when they get to Cimmeron? Or are they just made to the spec Cimmeron requests? At any rate I'm a very happy camper right now. And thumbs up to Tom, very smooth transaction. Would buy from him again without hesitation.

I don't think that anything is really done to them, any more than any other importer. Kinda like Cimarrons Titan derringer. Only thing different than one of those and the Cobra arms derringer (the manufacturer) is the cimmaron symbol on the rosewood grips.

Glad you got a nice revolver from Tom! More friends made.
Having an even half dozen Cimmaron marked ones and ones iported by Taylors and Stoeger (all Uberti), I have found absolutely zero difference between any of them other than markings (on the Cimmaron) and no markings at all (on the others). Cimmaron just orders them marked and that is that. I am VERY pleased that Cimmaron has reduced the markings that are on them. I returned a pair to Texas Jacks last year after they came with very badly thought out markings, with deliberate mis-spelling of "Address S. Cotl New Jork" on the barrel to substitute for the correct "Address S. Colt, New York". No markings or the "Address Cimmaron, Fredricksberg TX" are far better than that. Enjoy! Willie . |
