It depends a lot on locality and other factors and I'm no expert. My WAG would be maybe $850.

From the auction sites a 6" 22 cal like you describe, $1k+. A 6" 38 add a few hundred more.

Actual realized sale prices or "on drugs" prices that haven't sold?

Sold prices. For 100% NIB with all paperwork, etc.
I dropped out of an auction (couple years back) for a NIB 6" 38 at the $1200 point. It went on to sale at $1800!!! That is the highest price I've seen though. You get better prices at auctions.

Let me add that the price of a .22 Diamondback means little since we're talking about a .38 Diamondback. My experience is that .22s are generally higher priced than .38s.

22s bring a premium in the Diamondback line and just about every other line of pistols that were mainly larger caliber but had made a few 22s as well.

The 22's are scarcer (and more expensive) except in the 6" barrel length. The 6" 38 is a big ticket gun.

Good to know but the OP's gun is a 4 inch .38. I just didn't want him to get the impression all Diamondbacks bring the same price.
