My S&W 638 at 25, 50, and 100 yards ... FIRST SHOTS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgsEmy3EJpY

I finally took the newest member of the family to the range. I shot my first shots at 50 yards out of the box. I always shoot far first to what a gun can do ... if I can hit far I can hit close is my philosophy!

I also did a bit of metal plates, small ones, at 25 yards...

This 638 seems to be the "pick of the litter." My gun store had just received two J-frames on my day of searching ... a model 442 no-lock, and my 638 with a lock. I decided single action outweighed the no lock, so here we are...

Covering all possibilities and having no limitations was the Prime Directive on this search in these days gun droughts on the shelves. I may get my 638 moon-clipped so both of my carry revolvers will be the same in operation ... my other is a 325 in 45 ACP>..

Also attached is a photo of my 638 and my Andrews pocket holster

Nice job WildBill, good shooting for the first time out. I think the S&W 638 is my favorite snub, it goes with me about everywhere. A lot better shooter than I am, but I try. Thanks for the vid, stay safe.

I can see the potential of being such here as well. I have owned a 36 and a 340 PD when they first came out. I like the option of single action, and this one in particular seems to lock up tight and shoots very well so far.
