Got him!

As some of you know I have been out of country for the last month or so working in the oil fields. I missed the opening of deer season here and now its between splits so I have a week to go. Today I did get one though ! He was a good one! A wall hanger but I am afraid that the load of shot from the old 16 gauge tore him up too bad to mount. He was close to 4 1/2 feet long..............you see the problem it wasn't a deer but a cottonmouth moccasin that had the total NERV to sun himself with impunity on the bank of the bayou in MY BACKYARD! I forgot what a load of #6 would do to one at the range of 20 feet. He will sun no more (WICKED EVIL GRIN)

Sounds like it was a glorious hunt indeed. Sporting too.
