Wish list (the short version).

Sadly, as prices of guns and heating oil both continue to go up at an unreasonable rate, I find myself unable to buy much in the way of guns. Even shooting the ones I have is getting to be a challenge.
So, I've been taking some time to really hone down my wish list. There are a ton of gun's I'd like to own, but this is my short list - the guns I'm actually going to actively pursue. I have them listed in the order I plan on getting them rather than by how much I want them.

1) Ruger GP100 4" - Shares a cartridge with my sp101, but should work better for range work. Probably destined to be my "bedside gun".

2) Ruger SBH 4" - I've always wanted a .44mag, and I've always wanted a "cowboy gun", plus I won't have to chase brass to reload.

3) CZ 75bd - I like the feel of it, I want a SA/DA, and it can be had for less than a SIG.

4) Dan Wesson vbob - I miss having a 1911 shooter, DW has a stellar reputation, and the vbob has all the features I like.

5) Glock 19 - A modern classic, and a gun I've been circling for years. I might go for a 23 instead just because I'd also like a .40.

So that's my short list. I assume you all have yours.

Ah, I feel your pain my friend and it hurts.

I also am on the lookout for a Glock 19. Initially I had dreams of various XD types and additional Colts but now my wish list has gone down greatly.

My wish list

-Glock 19

-Glock 30S.

-Ruger Redhawk or Maybe a S&W .629. I would be happy with either one.

There are 3 or 4 long guns too.

My short list shares a couple with yours. Probably more regulated by availability than economy though.
CZ75B or BD. Range gun, not for carry, so the de-cocker feature of the "D" isn't a necesity.
Glock 17. Not the 19 as on your list, but the same model that started it all.
As for wheel guns, I Checked tge first one off my list a couple months agobwith the purchase of a Ruger LCR Spcl +P.
Still on the list:
Charter Arms Bulldog Stainless 44 Spcl
Taurus Tracker 992 22LR/22WMR.
I can only list tese four as absolute wants. #5 could be anything from a Sig P6 I've been eyeing at a LGS to a Heritage Rough Rider 22/22Mag 3 1/2" Birdshead grip I've really been liking on latey. Or just another barrel/scope or two for my T/C Contender.

Sadly, my finances don't allow me to buy a new gun very often.
I saw a Cimarron 1911 .45acp at my local Cabelas for $399.99 out the door right before the panic buying began. There was also a CZ75 for $550 that is on my wish list. I wonder if I'll ever see them again at those prices.

Fortunately, I've reached the point where I've acquired just about all the guns I've ever wanted and I'm now just adding unique or special firearms.

IMHO, I believe every "collection" should have...

... a 22 pistol - you can't go wrong with a Ruger Mark I/II/III
... a 38/357 revolver - Ruger GP100 or S&W 66/etc.
... a 1911 - lots of choices but I'd save up and buy a good used pistol rather than a cheaper new one (I like my Colt Commander and Kimber Custom II but there's lots of other good choices)

... a good 12-gauge shotgun - Remington model 870 is an excellent choice

... a 22 rifle - Ruger & Marlin have several great models
... a large-game rifle (270 or larger). I'm partial to 30-06 because of it's wide range of load capabilities

You could combine some of these by caliber. For example, I have a Marlin lever action in 44 Mag to go with my S&W Mountain Gun (or, do the same in 357 Mag).

Good luck and have fun!

As CraigJS said Ammo, finances aren't allowing a new gun this year.

Shoot what you have and be satisfied. There will be ample opportunity to purchase new guns later.

I am looking for a S&W Model 29-3 with 4" barrel and a S&W 686.

I found IMhO an excellent deal on a Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt at my local gun store ($300 and it was in great shape).

My personal theory is some folk are trading in their revolvers for high capacity semi's and since the major attention is being put on semi's they are not getting good prices for them and the revolvers are going for (relatively) low prices.

So take heart wheel gunners you might actually find a deal out there.

I need a handgun in .22lr, probably a Ruger.

A Ruger LCP for summer carry.

An AR 15, a 12 ga shotgun for turkey hunting, and an M1 carbine.

A Glock 19, a pistol caliber carbine, a lever action in 38/357 with a Ruger GP 100 to go along with it.

And yes, that is the short list!

Smith M696--three-inch five-shot .44 Special. Been haunting my dreams lately. But I'd settle for a Charter Arms Bulldog.

Doesn't really matter, I can't buy guns any more due to a common illness in the elderly, pernicious financial anemia.

My short list:
1. Smith and Wesson 617 with 6" barrel (already ordered)
2. Beretta Xtrema semi auto shotgun
3. Smith and Wesson 686+ with 6" barrel
4. Smith and Wesson 617 with 4" barrel
5. A 1911, don't know what brand but would want to save for a higher end model. The lower end models I have shot have been finicky.

mxsailor803, to help you avoid searching for something that doesn't exist, " S&W 617 .357". The 617 is a K frame, 10 round 22 long rifle revolver, and not available in 357.
" 1895 Mosin Nagant" Mosin didn't have anything to do with the 1895 Nagant revolver.

My "Wish List" falls in the realm of fantasy. Guns I wish gunmakers would make.
1. Ruger GP100 with a 2.5" barrel, 7 chambered cylinder, adjustable sights.
2. Taurus 608 with a 2.5" barrel.
3. Stoeger, Mitchell, Anybody start making new stainless steel Lugers and Broomhandle Mausers.
4. Somebody, Anybody start making Longslide 1911s with 7" barrels.
5. S&W bring back the Model 19 with updated metallurgy so it's stronger than the original. (I hate the 686)
6. Sig 238 or Colt Mustang Pocketlite to be made with a grip safety as well as the frame safety so I could feel better about carrying it cocked and locked.
7. ParaOrdnance to make a micro .380 1911 with their LDA trigger.
8. New Webley MK. VI. in a variety of calibers and barrel lengths and frame sizes.

My wish list is down to two firearms. Originally it was about 15 guns long but I have gotten all of them except these two:

1. a Short barrel shotgun (thinking SXS double barrel with a pistol grip with about a 9 inch or shorter barrel)
2. another 357 magnum carbine so I can give my son mine and keep it in the family.

I am all set for hand guns
