Yep, when someone insist that you have to do it their way and its the only true way, the technical stuff becomes a mantra thing where is been turned from technical and scince fact into mumbo jumbo.

I work with people who pull that out to support their superstitions.

Other do it differently and the results are as good as better without all the confusing nonsense.

You want your ritual, that is well and fine if you find comfort in it.
