Fellow TFLers,
Looking for specific experiences with the Surefire Responder for the Winchester 1300 Defender with extended magazine tube. No, it's not for me. I am very familiar with Surefire products and weapon mounted lights (hell, I've got four of them) but one of my buddies has a Defender and is looking to get a Responder. Specific issues we've considered: 1. How does the forward sling attachment (on the mag tube cap) interfere, if at all, with the Responder's lamp output? My Benelli has a side-mounted sling attachment so it's not an issue but the Defender does not have such an option. 2. What's the difference between the Responder for the short-mag Defender and the long-mag Defender (this is more curiosity than anything else, as my buddy's Defender has the long mag tube). Thanks, Justin ------------------ Justin T. Huang, Esq. late of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania |

Okay, I still don't have an answer but I did find (while looking for Eagle Industries gear) another alternative source for Responders.
I usually direct people to Lagger Professional when it comes to Surefire products (http://www.lagger-pro.com). Botach has the best prices (http://www.botachtactical.com) but some persons have reported customer service problems. Found this place which beats even Botach's prices -- on Responders ONLY: http://www.maricopatactical.com/comp..._taclights.htm Winchester Defender Responder, long mag tube, with constant on/off switch for $240. Standard model for $160. No idea if these guys are any good in the customer service department but thought I'd share the wealth. Justin ------------------ Justin T.
