Looking for a machinist
Not sure if this is the correct forum but I will give it a try.
I am looking for a machinist that can make a template out of maybe billet aluminium or something like that. I would like to have a block that I can drop a loaded 32 caliber to a 44 mag loaded shell in to make sure the crimp is good with out bring a gun to the reloading bench to test the rounds. It is a pain it the a$$ to have to unlock the safe and start pulling out guns to check the reloads every time I switch calibers or bullet shapes. BTW, not looking to have this done for free. |

If you want something custom made to match your pistols' chambers, you might try posting in the TFL "Smithy" forum to see if any of those guys are interested in machining something for you.

Lots of case gauges on the market, some spring loaded, from one to 100. Pick one you like. I case gauge all my ammo for hunting and matches, no sweat with the right tools.

Lee Precision makes handgun factory crimp dies for the 32 and 44.
http://leeprecision.com/reloading-di...ory-crimp-die/ Run them through there is see if they fit, and if they didn't, they do now.
