Leica Rangefinder?

I am looking to buy a rangefinder. I want something small and that does not require a tripod for long distances, 600 yards plus. I have heard that the Leica Rangemaster CRF 1200 Rangefinder is small and good. Does anyone on here have any experience with it, does it have scan mode, is that good?
I want it for hunting and shooting in general, I have a heavy barreled .308 and am wanting a rangefinder that will complement it well.
