Any more info on new Saiga rifles coming out?

has anyone heard any new info about these besides they want to bring them here?

The .22lr Ak74?

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2...-from-izhmash/

or the

Saiga-9 and Civilian version AK-107?

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2...lanced-recoil/

I'm hugely excited for all three. especially if the 9mm carbine is able to accept the helical mags! I don't think its the right one tho...

Izhmash is really hurting lately with Russian military cutbacks in rifle production. From what I understand, U.S. civilian sales have become a big part of their business, so I'm sure they would love to sell these guns here.

That said, the 10-round capacity of the .22LR AK is pretty dissapointing, especially considering how common and reliable the 25-round .22LR magazines (Black Dog and CMMG) for AR-15s are.

The 9mm AK could be a pretty interesting product, assuming it can get into the country un-neutered and at a reasonable price.

Ak-107

Taking a gun thats wonderful becuase and only becuuase of its simplicity and complicating it up a bit

I wanna see some more info on the new .308's and if they can still be converted and of they plan on making similar changes to any of the other platforms.

I'm putting my money on them not making it over here... .

I'd love to have a .22 or 9mm to go with my .223.

Even if they did I doubt they will make over here with the pistol grip. Probably end up like the sporters.

The VEPR 12s just came over with pistol grips and standard stocks. Worst case scenario they send it over with no butt stock as a pistol. They could do the same thing they do with their other rifles with arsenal and just send over barreled actions. I don't see why they wont come over, unless something changes in the legislature.

Likely we'll have a lot more info by the end of the week after all the youtube guys (not me, I can't go... ) get reports from SHOT edited and out to the public.

I hate the 107.

I don't expect any saigas anytime soon. They kept pushing the dates back from oct, to nov, then jan, now they still aren't here and vendors are trying to get rid of the Veprs we see everywhere.

9mm would be cool if you can afford to form1 it.

I would be interested in a .22 AK if someone makes a larger mag for them. They probably will if a ban doesn't pass depending on if they continue to push the issue.

I wouldn't mind a 9mm carbine (or a .45 for that matter) no matter the configuration but it had better take mags for a pistol I already own or would like to own, preferably glock mags.

10 rounds in an AK 22 isn't getting my attention.

9mm would be good if it takes Glock mags.
