Browning Medalists and Chalenger clips

Hi,
I have just gotten back from the range and my proof of concept is confirmed.
All you Browning Medalists and Chalenger 1 owners probably know just how
hard it is to get clips for them. The ones being sold as replacement clips
do not work in either of my 1968 Medalists or my 1969 Chalenger.
So here's a get around that works perfectly in all three of my brownings.
I took two of the spare clips for my old Buckmark Sillouette and found that
by building up the front of the clip at the bottom so that it contacts the
frame the same time that the rear notch latches these clips will actually
function better than the factory ones. (at least in my three they do). I
originally used a piece of plastic and epoxy to try it, but now that I know it
works I've made it permanent with JB Weld. These clips won't be flush with
the bottom of the grip but now I have the four clips I needed to compete
with my Medalists. Be sure to get the older style Buckmark clips, the ones
with the notch in the bottom rear. Newer design won't work.
