M1A1 Build advice

I currently own a Springfield Arms M1A1 Loaded. I am seeking advice in building it into a precision rifle. I need info on Optics/Rings/mounting precision stock system. Thanks in advance for the help!

Welcome to The Firing Line!

Contact Andy at Smith Enterprise, Inc., tell him what you have, what you want and ask him what he has to offer.

You won't be disappointed with the results.

I am in the process of moving my medium heavy 'Crazy Horse' M21A5 type SEI into an older ('05) SAGE EBR chassis that
was not designed to accept a medium heavy barrel. Choosing a mount, ring and scope combo is my next big challenge.

Not sure if you are wanting long range precision or not but I believe the M1A1 has a shorter barrel that may affect your long range accuracy. The barrel will be something you may want to change as well to squeeze as much as you can out of her. Stocks are a personal preference and what fits you the best. You can dump a lot of money into the conditioning of a M1A. McMillan or JAE stocks, Kreiger or Douglas match barrels, spendy European optics, etc.

What's your budget?
