messed up Springfield 1863
Hello fine people of Firing Line. I have a Springfield 1863 thats been in my safe for a couple of years. I have no use for it and im not really interested in collecting antique firearms unless they are WWII. Since it would be dumb for me to throw this in the trash, i was wondering what you guys might think its worth. Theres a lot of pitting, a large rust spot on the barrel, and a repair filling that fell out. I just wanna know what to ask for this. Not looking to get rich.

Worst case scenario-part it out on ebay? I know they have restrictions on certain parts of modern guns, but I don't think they know much about antiques like that, and if you sell the parts like they are relics or display bits, I think you could make good money off of the most of it, if not the barrel. Even the screws should sell unless they are broken or something.
