Rossi Ranch Hand SBR ?

Ever since I saw one of these I wondered about putting a full length stock on one and making it an SBR.

What do you guys think about the idea?

I had similar thoughts about the .44mag version, maybe ported. It's got a 37.5" OAL normally with a 20" barrel, so a 29.5" OAL with the standard stock attached to the 12" version. Maybe knock 1.5" off the stock for a shorter LOP and an OAL of 28"... that ought to be pretty handy for packing in places with bears. The skinny profile would make it stow easily in a pack or something.

I just wonder if they have the right quality behind them to make them worth the money and trouble.

I've got a 20" in 357 thats deadnutz reliable. Many CAS guys run these and there's lots of info on the web with reliability/speed upgrades. I'd say yes, worthy of the trouble.
