BUSTED!!!!

Looks like George was the one that didn't do his homework and use the 'search' function when he started going on and on about the 97B!

My 97B isn't too picky. My only failures have been with 230 gr. Hydra-Shoks, and they weren't consistent... 1 in 100. I've since switched from Hydra-Shoks.

As to the Hogue, I don't think Hogue makes any grips that specifically fit the CZ-97... or at least I've never found them and Hogue doesn't advertise them. You can try the Hand-Alls. I had some Kingwood checkered grips custom made for mine

I recently bought a LNIB CZ-97B with 4 magazines. A beautiful
gun, very accurate, but it would absolutely, positively NOT
feed any kind of hollowpoint if it was one of the first 4 rds.
loaded in a 10-rd. magazine. This was true of all 4 magazines
regardless of the load used. The hollow point would dive
slightly as it came off the follower and jam squarely against
the lower part of the feed ramp. Tried polishing and a stronger
recoil spring and it made no difference. Well, I may be picky
but I want my self-defence guns to be %100 reliable (or darn
close) with hollowpoints so I traded it for a LNIB Sig P225.
No regrets there.
I agree with those who blame the CZ's magazines. The
spring does not support the front of the follower with sufficient
strength. I notice ProMag makes a magazine for the Witness
.45 which should fit the CZ. Has anyone tried that combination?

Oops.

Like all y'all never made a mistake.

About the followers. They are all black fiberglass reinforced plastic - or at least that is what they look like.

Hey now... I looked around and read up on the 97 before I jumped in with both feet. Those possible issues were chances I was more than willing to take. So I have a tight chamber.
So I can't feed SOME hollowpoints.
Big deal.
I'll put my 97 as it is right now at this moment - up against any other .45 in terms of both accuracy and reliability. I'm putting my money where my mouth is on this... I'm taking this gun to the big 3 Gun match in Vegas. I think this gun will give me good service for that event. I may be the only guy with a 97 there... but that is okay. I'm confident the gun will be a better performer than I am.
