Lyman 90-MJT on AR-15 ?
Has anyone ever used a Lyman 90-MJT receiver sight on a 223 / 5.56 AR-15 ?
I know its widely used for rimfire and just wondered if it would stand up to the highpower recoil. http://www.brownells.com/userdocs/pr...39090000_1.jpg |

I have mounted them on other centerfire guns but not an AR.
The Lyman should work provided the mount height works with the front sight. I think the shortcomings will appear during sighting in. The 90MJT's adjustment are a bit crude and may not hold position without locking. When making sight changes keep track of the backlash. It's a good sight for what it is. The accuracy of the AR may actually be better then the sight can appreciate.
