Wallet holster and percussion, an AOW?

Would a combination of a Remington 1863 .31 percussion and a true wallet holster need registered and taxed?

My understanding is that percussion guns are not "firearms" which fall under the NFA. Other examples are Cane guns - percussion can be made and sold without any AOW stamp. Also, someone made percussion pen guns that did not need to be registered either. So percussion+wallet holster should be just fine.
