A-XMR powders - ?

My Lee reloading book, vol. 2, lists these powders frequently. I've never heard of this brand, and my Speer and Hornady books don't list any a-xmr powders.

I thought it might be Accurate Powders, but I went to Accurate's website, and NOPE, no mention of "A-XMR" powders.

I ordered the Lee book online. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it listed powders I've never heard of.

Accurate used to make it. Apparently they dumped it.

They dropped the designations xmp and probably xmr but 5744 is still made and was known as xmp5744

Many manuals use XMR for Accurate Powders. An example would be Sierra's 300WSM load data uses XMR4350 for AA 4350.

I've never used the Sierra manual.

I'm loading 303 British now, with Hornady 174 gr bullets. The Lee book lists A-XMR-2495, Accur 2520, A-XMR 4064, A-XMR 4350, Accur 2700, and A-XMR-3100 as the powders for a 174-gr jacketed bullet. I see that ALL the powders listed are Accurate Powders.... I'm not sure why.

Checking my latest edition of the Hornady manual, the only one of the above that it lists is AA 2520. There's no XMR powders listed. My Speer book also does not list any XMR powders.

Looking at the date printed for the Lee manual, it shows 2003, with a reprint in 2007. If it was reprinted in 2007, and if Accurate no longer has XMR powders, seems the Lee book should have been revised. Going to Accurate's website, it seems that they do in fact make 2495, 4064, 4350 and 2700.

So when using the Lee book, do I assume that what Accurate calls "2495" is the SAME as what Lee calls A-XMR-2495?

Thanks!
