The Judge, How Is It?
Hey all, I'm a squirrel hunter, just for fun. I carry my 1940's .410, and a .22 pistol on my hip.
I like to shoot the squirrels with a pistol when I can, but figured it would be really fun to shoot them with a "Judge", loaded with .410's. How are those guns? Any problems, etc with them? |

I kill many of squirrels with my Judge Public Defender. It works well if you get under 20 yards. The judge makes a great trail gun.
It groups 45LC as good as any other conventional guns. Federal 00buck is devastating.

This is in no way a Judge slam post. I have a PD Poly, and not only like it for a couple purposes, but have defended the platform on TFL many times. At 10-15 feet, the pattern with #7 1/2 is tight enough to be snake proof, and I'm sure would ruin a bushy tails day, but at just 10 yards it is very sparse with either #6 or # 7 1/2. As you said though, for close range self defense I think it's great The Federal 000 Buck handgun loads, backed up by Winchester PDX-1 225 Gr. 45 Colt is a sure fire potential carjacker stopper!
