An Eye Opener
March 2005 article by Louis Awerbuck "Live in Fear, Die in Fear".
I know that the article was mainly tuned toward military and LEO's but for us it's an eye opener on the fact that if we continue with this PC stuff, it's going to get us killed. I liked the article and I don't know if this gentleman is a member here but if not, please convey my respects. Wayne ps: Just a question, OT to my post. You folks at SWAT use any of the conversations that we have here as the basis for articles? I've seen some "similarities" as to some of the topics here and then what is in the magazine sometimes (either that or I'm doing way too much reading on all the topics that it's starting to fuse together ) |

Wayne-
When it comes to technology, Denny Hansen admits himself to be a "90's kinda guy....1890's". If this is true, Louis Awerbuck is still in the Ice Age. In short, no you won't find him on any forums. He's a consummate trainer, though, and if you get a chance to train with him, you'll understand why so many of us refer to him as "Yoda". For more on Louis, see his web site. Lest you think a web site contradicts my statements as to Louis' interest in web technology, know that it was forced upon him. As to our using ideas and discussions from TFL as jump-offs for future pieces, the answer is "yes". Never before in history have publishers and editors had this type of interface with readers. We'd be fools not to pay attention. Rich

Is there anywhere on the net where the article is posted, or do I have to read the magazine in the bookstore.
