MLeake: Not yet. I'll be making my monthly range trip before the end of March, and plan on buying it then. If it works as advertised, I'm going to get with my agency's firearms instructor and see about adding one to my issued 870...hopefully, it will alleviate those purple / blue / black shoulders I always get the day after qualifying.

Had one on my Marlin 336 .30-30, but then I have a shoulder full of staples and stitches. Worked great and I never felt the slightest bit wimpy.

Same company, different product - I just put a LimbSaver grip sleeve on my Walther PPS.

I highly recommend the grip sleeve, too.

I put one on my Kel Tec PF9.

WOW! It feels great in my hand, and has actually helped my accuracy a little.

Do they make the limb saver as just an addition for a butt stock or can you buy a whole butt stock assembly? I have a maverick 88 that has no butt stock and would need to get one.

It is a recoil pad. I don't recall seeing a full stock. Limbsaver is in Shelton Washington. Give them a call and talk to them.

UPDATE: Well, it took me a while, but I did finally buy a Limb Saver. Tried it for the first time tonight on my department's range, attached to my issued 870. Went through the normal amount of 00 Buck and slugs. My opinion: Oh yeah...it's worth it.

I have one on a 20ga Franchi 48-AL semiauto. That thing kicks like a mule because it's so light, and has a hard plastic butt "cover" on it.

Limbsaver makes a WORLD of difference...

Ugly but definitely worth it. I'd put the slip-on's for my Mosin Nagant & a Savage 110 in 30-06 and lemme tell ya - I can shoot all afternoon w/o getting a bruise or shoulder pain. Of course, I can't afford or find the ammo to do it these days!

I've installed two permanent Limbsaver on two of my rifles & love them both. I didn't get a 70% recoil reduction, but they definitely are more comfortable to shoot.

I installed a Pachmyr pad on a Win 70 .270 last week because that was what I had on hand. I shot the rifle today & realized I made a big mistake. Limbsaver has far superior felt recoil dampening.

I think they are great. I one for my Kahr CM9, Ruger SR9, Ar and pump shotgun. Gonna get a slip on for my coach gun when it comes in.

I will add that the fit could be better......upon firing, the gel-filled butt of the Limb Saver wanted to shift to the side a bit. Still, I couldn't help but notice the next day that I did NOT have the usual bruised shoulder from the 870's recoil.
