Times to draw from holster.

My average time to draw and get two rounds down range is 1.20 seconds.
Is this considered good, and how can I make it better?
I have been shooting most of my life, and am new to these forums.
I am turning 18 in 3 days now... 2 not including the rest of tonight.
But shooting for a long time doesn't mean anything.
I do not have bad habits, and if I do they still haven't been pointed out.
But I am human, and theres no such thing as a perfect shooter.
Theres always room for error.
Thanks for any tips and tricks to help me on this.

Are you hitting with those two rounds? If so, what target are you shooting at and at what range?

Hitting with about a 3 in grouping from 15 yds.
I'm shooting at the silhouette targets.
Also, what is a strong hand firing position?

What type of holster are you using? I can clear leather in Open Carry and hit a target at 7 yards in the A Zone (IPSC Target) one time at 1.0 or sub zero times from a random beep with a shot timer. I'm 63 years old and shoot B Class Limited IPSC (USPSA) with a full power G21 or G35.

It's a Gun-Mate Tactical holster.
Needless to say...
You beat me.
Those are some amazing times.

If your depending on a fast draw to save you life. Buy some pre-paid funeral services. Situational awareness. Thats the life saver.

Just my opinion

Two shots into 3" @ 15 yards in 1.2 seconds from the buzzer is outstanding.

Heck, Dave Sevigny could only do it in 1.62 seconds at seven yards and he's a World Champion!

Put up a YouTube video of your accomplishment and you could be raking in some sweet sponsorship dollars!

That's excellent.

From low ready I can shoot 5 rounds in 1.12 secs at a target 21ft away in about a 5" group. (I have video!)

I was shooting a steel target.

What's absolutely uncanny about watching Sevigny run that FAST drill is that both times, he has a 1.36 draw and a .26 split on his second shot. Both times. Identical, down to the hundredth of a second... The dude's not human; he's a frickin' replicant or something...
