Garand gunsmith KC area?

My nephew bought a Garand and is looking for a gunsmith to look at an issue he is having with the safety. Any recommendations? He lives northeast of KC. Thanks in advance.

Garands are easy to fix.

What is wrong with the safety?

I hesitate to offer this because he is not in KC, but Hickman Rifles in Colorado Springs does really good work on Garands. If you cannot fix it yourself, or find someone local to do it, you might contact him, package up your trigger group, and send it there.

Hope this helps.

Take it to the smith at Armsmart in east Independence Mo. on Truman rd. That dude could fix it I'm sure. If you google them get their phone digits and call ahead.
