Just a suggestion . A couple of D-rings and loops on the straps / webbing in the front , to accommodate things like caribiners , to hook external pouches ,etc . Padding on the straps , as well . After awhile , the webbing starts to dig into the sholders , making for a long day . Other than that , that's a fine rig . Saw the vid on this on YT . Did an awesome job .

AK47 chest rig
The AK47 chest rig holds 5 mags x30 rounds = 150 rounds
The H-harness is removable. We can also make custom gear so if you wanted things added to the H-harness we could. |

Hey beez,
Have you considered making one for Saiga 12 mags? I would love a rig that could carry a couple spare 10 round (promag) mags. |

Saiga Chest Rig
We have thrown a few ideas around with Krebs and Bravo18. What do you want in a chest rig? How many mags?

Ditto on the padded straps, and make sure it holds vz-58 mags well, too, open another market that is really taking off.

AK47 chest rig
The H-harness supports the weight better than a X-harness. We make padded shoulder straps you can add if needed.
How much wider and longer is the vz-58 mags than the AK47 mag? |

Sorry, Beez, I don't have any AK mags left to check/compare with, but my vz-58 magazines are 3 inches deep at their deepest point, 1 inch wide except the baseplate at an inch and a quarter, and measured longest point to longest point, (top rear of feedlip to bottom rear corner of baseplate), is a hair under 9 inches. In the Blackhawk rig I bought, (wish I hadn't), the vz-58 mags barely fit under the velcroed flaps, seen here.
I think yours would be much easier to use, and lighter for us older/fatter guys. Wanna trade? |

AK47 chest rig
send us an email [email protected]. Let's see if we can get something built for the vz-58 magazines. It looks like the Vz-58 mags would fit in the BCS AK47 chest rig just need to get longer bungee.

AK47 chest rig
After further testing we have shortened the AK47 chest rig 1.5". We wanted to expose about 2.5" of mag. The three rows of molle are still across the expanse of the rig.

vz-2008 mags
We checked today to see if vz-2008 mags will fit in the BCS AK47 chest rig. Here are a few pics of the vz-2008 mags in and on the chest rig. The mags fit perfect and no mods are needed.
