Any of these Spotting scopes any good?

Most of the time I'm doing 25 yds w/the occassional trip to the outdoor range for 50 yd work. I'd like to try 100 yd, but those benches are always full.

Simmons #841206
25x60mm @ $60

Weaver #849437
20x50mm @$100

Bushnell #78502001 @ $40

Probably better than looking through an empty toilet paper tube....with spotting scopes you don't get much in that under a $100 figure.

Just a thought...an angled eyepiece is a bunch easier to use. Properly positioned, you only have to turn your head to look through the scope. With a straight eyepiece, you have to move your head over behind the scope to look through it.

Regards,

Walt

Yes, angled is better & I'd prefer it, but I see no angled at these prices that are any good. There's also a BSA 20x50 on sale for $20

My spotting scope is a Tasco that I bought about 25 years ago. It's a 15-45X50 zoom that came with a tabletop tripod. I've never needed or wanted more. I think it cost me 45 bucks back then.

I use it mostly for 100 yds, shooting the SAR-48, but with the eyes going slowly, I can see it getting more use than ever.
