Winchester 1894 make date.

Just picked up a Winchester 1894 in .45Colt. would like to know when it was made. Ser# 6545xxx. Any information would help. Thanks

Proofhouse's numbers on the 1894 only go up to 5103249 in 1983.

Based on the previous year production numbers, I would guess late 80s, early 90s.

I know of no reliable on-line source for newer production Winchesters. Meaning anything after about 1980. There are some hardback books that have been published with more information, but I don't have access to anything. Hopefully someone with a resource will chime in, or you could call Winchester.
