2 - Browning Sweet Sixteens
When I posted the thread on the extra barrel I have, I gotr to looking at my 2 sweet sixteens. I have one (SN-X374XX) that has the safety forward of the trigger (back to front push). I have another one (the SN's have been removed) that has the safety behind the trigger (left to right push). The guns have been in my family all of my life. Anyone know as to the age and significance of these guns. I love them and have dropped many dove with them. Value?

Go to the beowning website...
for the first one, with forward safety, that should be frrom the the 20-30' time period. Check to confirm.
The second may have interior SN partial and a smith may know where to locate. The website does give service center locations that may be of service. The SN should be located in the forward recessed cavity on bottom of receiver. Also go to: www.shotgunworld.com , menu to browning forum, more people and info there. Enjoy! |

Your joking right?
Yes they have good value, but depends on condition.
Go to ww.16ga.com and look there and www.gunbroker.com for current pricing. The early model maybe limited to certain collectors of that age. |
