Barrel Removal from AK-Style Action
I apologize for posting this in the rifle forum before seeing this forum. In any event, I want to remove the barrel from a Bulgarian SA-93 (7.62x39 AK-style action) with milled receiver. It appears to be retained by a large drift pin near the front of the receiver. Can I drift that pin out with a punch and remove the barrel? Is a heavy-duty press required to remove the pin? Is it tapered and drifts only one way?
Any guidance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. |
