Black Powder: Way to go Sir. Thanks for the demo on Utube. I enjoyed that film clip. Kind of slick how that adapter worked in the Walthers and the actual size of those little 4mm cartridges is remarkable. When you decide to pop one of those little shells off in that 6 gun of yours. Please do post the experience. I for one am indeed interested in its results. By the way that threesome brace of pistols are by my standards very nice indeed. A pleasure to observe such nice weapons and their holsters on this end. Thanks again for the photo and UTube link.

Jbar, what you have is what I like collecting most. The front sight gives it character and where it came from certainly adds to the interesting history regarding where it's been. Even the bandana is nice. I try to grab a hold of anything that relates to my guns like gunbelts, spurs, etc.. New guns lack much when compared to the old. Nice go'in!

My first handgun. Purchased in 1978, brand new. From the serial number, it appears to have been made a couple of months before I bought it. I used it for several years in SASS matches too. |

Here are my single actions. The one holstered is a Cimarron and the other three are USFA's all in 45 Colt. One of the USFAs also has a 45 ACP cylinder. These are some of my favorite guns to shoot. I just enjoy old west stuff.

1858 remmy, I sold a real nice HH Heiser that fit a 4 3/4" colt saa plain but in great condition, probably early 20's. I have a number of holsters, but wasn't thinking of letting any go at this time. Let me know what your looking for anyway. Maybe someone I know can help you out.Tell me if your interested in custom, or well known name vintage collectables.Towboat_er has my email address , cause I've had some issues with this forum and reached the end of my rope. I'll probably be gone fairly soon.

Some of these I currently own and some have moved to new homes. I'm not sure if the New Frontier counted but I included it.

My little pony
I've posted these somewhere else on here, but I'll post them here too. The pics were from when I first got it and was trying to decide to shoot it or not to. I'm currently about 400 rounds into it now. It's much more accurate that I though it would be.

Here's my first SAA, which was bought in a grouping from a gentleman in Utah, who was relocating to Australia and who could not take his family firearms with him. The grouping included this SAA (more later), a Remington .41 over/under derringer, a Remington hammer double barrel 12 guage, and a Winchester 1873 rifle in .44-40. All of the pieces have about the same finish on them. They were owned by one of my friends early relatives, who carried them or used them daily as his "selection". The selection represents the working guns of a fairly well funded western rancher of the era: Rifle and Revolver in .44-40, a 12 guage double, and a small derringer for carrying into town. All are high quality, and with the derringer and shotgun both being Remingtons, there was obviously a Remington dealer in town. The SAA is a .44-40, original finish gone to grey, but no rust anywhere. Serial Number of 106xxx puts in to 1884. The revolver came with a leather holster and belt, contemporary to the revolver, with conchos made from Spanish silver coins. The revolver is tight, timing is good, and lockup perfect. I shoot it "regularly", meaning at least twice a year, with handloaded .44-40 black powder cartridges. It's a pleasure to take the old girl out and see who on the line recognizes that it's not an "antiqued" Uberti, but the real deal. I'd be interested in comments, and any idea of valuation. Willie . My current stable of single actions. They are all USFA's. The bottom sheriff's model is my most recent. The top one is my Turnbull one and one of the first ones he ever did.
