I do suggest you consider getting a better trigger.

Geissele triggers are the Gold Standard... ( they dang near sell for the price of your rifle ! )

There are other alternatives, that are considerably less expensive.

Look around and ask here again if you have questions about any triggers.

What ammo were you shooting ?

There are some .223 OEM loads that I have found to be very accurate.... and inexpensive.

If you shoot from a bench at all a 20 round is much shorter, and doesn't bonk the table top.... I use D&H 15 rounders from Wideners. I can simply tilt the rifle to the side and they will slide right out. 10 round mags are available also.

What brand is your rifle and barrel ? Flat Top ? Barrel Twist rate ?

AR15's are the small block Chevy of the rifle world.... parts are made by dang near everyone.

I could go on and on.....

Feel free to IM me if you like.... I also really like my .308 etc... but the AR is a just so easy to modify.... it may be "limited " by its .223 / 5.56 ammo... but it is up to the task for 500yds easy.
