Missed out on .458 SOCOM bullets

This morning I finally got the product arrival notice from Midway for the Remington 405g bullets. Well I had them in the cart all day but when I finally decided to hit buy they were gone! I'm so disappointed on myself for being such a procrastinator.
Btw they had them on sale on top of that.

Is the 405 appropriate for that small case ?? Try 300 Barnes or the 350 Hornady [?] . www.corbon.com has loaded ammo with the 300 Barnes as their DPX load . I use that 300 in my 45-70 , works well.

The Rem 405 is one of my favorite bullets to load up in the 45-70 and Socom. I also missed out cause I was too lazy to get out of bed this morning and get my computer.

They work very nicely. I use those mainly and the Hornady 300 JHP's too. The Hornady's are much nicer shaped and have a slightly smaller diameter metplat that clears the magazines a little better. The Hornady's look better too, more of a modern shape to them. Both perform about the same though. They say they drop hogs, DRT.
