.223/5.56mm Clean Burning Powder?
To go along with the new build(and first for me, what timing?!?) of an AR in .223/5.56mm, the usual research about possible roll-your-own ammo is being performed. To the meat of this post, I'm asking those that have the experience, what have you found to be the cleanest burning powder for this caliber? For base information, I'll be attempting to duplicate the ballistics of SS109/M855 "green tip" military ammo, so I'll be in the process of trying gout several different 62gr. bullets as well.
Thanks to all the reply! |

TAC.

TAC is a double-based powder providing for ease of metering and consistent charge weights. Ideal Calibers: .223 Rem, 308 Win Bulk Density (grams/liter) 985 Packaged in 1lb. and 8lb. containers. http://www.ramshot.com/powders/ . |
