PMC 308b ammo issues

Okay if anyone could help it would be much appreciated. Last week I bought the socom 16 took it home and attempted to load a round but the bolt would not close completely. Needless to say after spending 1700 dollars and another 300 plus on 500 rds. Thought it was the socom issue and did some research and noticedthey may have slamfire issues so brought it back with no problems returning it. Lucky for me I see they got a new scar 17 in so once again bring it home and the round would not come off the magazine completely only enough to hit the bottom of chamber. Thought it might off caused damage but cleaned the copper off with only a very small indentation. The box says 7.62 as well but is 308. Any ideas?? Thinking about sending the ammo back.

1st, check if some other brand 7.62x51 (or 308) will chamber.

Grab some calipers and check that pmc ammo.

Not a reloading issue and one thread only on the topic, please.

Anyone with answers:
