Wyomig Wolf Hunting
Looks like the Feds and the State of Wyoming has reached an agreement on wolf management in Wyoming.
Wolves would be protected in Yellowstone, Gran Teton, and the Wind River Indian Reservation. Looks like a trophy area in NW Wyoming, but in the rest of the state they will be considered varmits, and can be killed on sight, any way any how, Starting Oct 1st 2012. Finely a bit of reason, Now we can protect the Big Horns, Black Hills and other areas of the state. See 'em, Shoot 'em. Linky: http://www.jhnewsandguide.com/article.php?art_id=8966 That is a newspaper report: This is from the Wyoming Fish and Game site. The WF&G article also contains a map where you can hunt them as trophys and where they are listed as varmits. http://gf.state.wy.us/web2011/news-1000368.aspx

I don't claim to know anything about this particular situation. So, is everyone reasonably certain that the coast is clear and no federal judge will grant an injunction or whatever pending this or that at the last minute ?

YEEEE _ HAWWWW!
It is true! We get to smoke 'em up, starting October 1! I know where a few are hanging, so I will keep my fingers crossed I see them! It is about time! As for the chances of a group suing and a judge closing the hunt, I think the legislature in D.C. helped us on that one last year by passing a law that protects the agreement. Get some wolves!

Let's all be sure to obey the bag limit.
Which is "all you can kill per day, --- plus 10" |
