Sks
So I got this nice sks from J&G. I noticed it has Russian stock, cover but the rest is Chinese. No other marking has a 2200 serial number with a D stamped at the end. Any help or advice would be cool thanks guys.

what you likely have is a very early sino soviet rifle. the chinese got all of their equipment from the russians and for the first year or so, all production was done under the supervision of russian engineers. they went through several serializing schemes before settling on the 7 digit by year increments scheme. pictures would help, but you likely have an early type 56 rifle which was built with some leftover russian parts, either that, or it served heavy combat and was cobbled together in a cave somewhere to make serviceable again.

It's just as likely that J&G, the importer (if different), or the exporter, discovered a damaged stock and dust cover, and just installed whatever they had lying around.
...Or that it was a parts gun before it ever got packed and exported for US sale. The good Russian and Chinese SKSs were imported a long time ago. Most of what's coming from those countries now are rifles assembled from the crap left over from previous sales. (That doesn't mean that they're bad rifles - just that many of them are assembled from salvaged parts.)
