P.A.R. Materials?

What would be the best material for a receiver. Was thinking of A.G. Aluminum like 7050 so cut weight, but have heard people complain about temperature effecting it. Steel might be to heavy for this type. Just so you know, Receiver will be long and similar to M96 or M63A1.

What about synthetic with metal inserts?

well, the inserts would be costly to manuf & install, so it seems to me better to pick one or the other - plastic or alum, and stick with it. If its gonna absorb a lot of heat, then alum or it'll melt. I dunno beyond that.
