Collapsible pistol rest: V-yoke and mini tripod

Has anyone here tried using a V-yoke:

and a mini-tripod:

as a compact, collapsible pistol rest?

I've seen shooting/walking sticks advertised with a "Y" yoke for a hunting rest.

I'd like to get one of those "Y"s, can you give me a good source?
