Gun Safe - Houston, TX

I need a new gun safe. I've narrowed it down to two: AMSEC or Sturdy.

I'd prefer to purchase it from a local dealer, but that isn't possible with Sturdy, and a local AMSEC dealer wants $1200 more for the same safe than the prices I've seen online.

Has anyone in Houston bought a safe online and had it dropped shipped to a local safe company for delivery and installation? If so, which company did you use? How much did it cost? Were you happy with the installation?

Thanks.

I bought my safe from here in 1991, they have moved my safe around for me a few times thru the years. They are good people. http://www.gunsafeshouston.com/

For an AMSEC safe, contact a forum member at www.zykansafe.com
Frank ( username a1abdj ) has been a great contributing member here for years and AMSEC safes are highly regarded.

I had no problem with the Sturdy safe or its delivery. It was easier to move than I was expecting, but I just had to roll it on PVC over concrete. A strong and very determined man should be able to drag it over concrete (thread a rope through the pallet and toss a little sand down...).
