Garand Barrel Marking

Just took delivery of my Garand

I've researched most everything on it- all of the parts match & are in excellent to unused condition.

Need some help with the barrel though:

Side: B. SID. 66 1955
Top: BMR.D. 35448 (Plus what looks like a capitol "T" & "F" stacked, then turned on side.)

Sure like to round off what I've verified about this rifle, help with the barrel markings would be much appreciated.

If you mean the receiver markings, the BMR stands for Breda Meccanica Romana; it is an Italian made Danish contract rifle. These are excellent rifles and I think will have collector value in the not too distant future. I don't know about the barrel markings; they probably also indicate Italian manufacture.
