Early H&R Sportsman
I have an early H&R Sportsman 22 long rifle, with a milled Cylinder Catch. I need a new one and can only find the later Cylinder Catch spring. Will this work on this older gun? Please Advise. Kind Regards ttocsej

I believe that came up in an earlier thread and it turned out that the later spring could be trimmed to fit if it didn't fit as-is. Search on the subject and make sure that matches what you're speaking of.

He's talking about the catch that retains the cylinder. You can see it in this pic just forward of the cylinder.
