Sighting in CZ 527 .223
I have sighted in my CZ 527 in .223 with a Leupold VX-R scope.
First we sighted in at 40 yards. Since I want a 200 yard zero it should be dead on at around 40. We slowly walked it in with 8 shots using PMC .223 55 grain. Then we had fun shooting that for a while. Then we decided to try all the different ammo I had brought with me. PMC .223 55 grain Hornady Superformance Varmint 35 grain Hornady Superformance Target 75 grain PMC X-TAC 62 grain 5.56 NATO Blackhills Match 69 grain With me, my Dad, Brother, Uncle and first Cousin we all took turns shooting. Everything shot at least an inch. We didn't clean it during the entire 48 rounds. Here are some photos of a few targets. We mounted the scope, no bore sighting, just slowly walking it in there. Ignore the high shot, we had been shooting at 100 yards to make a smiley face with 55 grain, then we switched ammo and I shot at the "7".

You have the 1:9 or 1:12 twist barrel?
My 1:12 barrel does not like anything heavier than 55gr. 40-55gr will shoot 0.5 MOA with pretty much any factory ammo. |
