45 acp Mauser conversion.
I have a Rhineland arms conversion kit coming. Finally going to get started on this.
Had to take the Barreled action to a Gunsmith to remove the old barrel That sucker was on there. Ok simple question for you guys in the know. I need a extended 1911 mag release for this kit. Any one know were I might find these. I can find the individual parts from various sources. But I assume I need the lock, spring and the release? Do they sell these as a kit? |

I'm not sure if they have any kind of kits, but I would try brownells.com if you haven't already. I know that they have an extensive line of products just for 1911s. I imagine that you have probably already thought of that, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to mention it and try to help. Hopefully someone can help you out a little more but I thought I'd try. Good luck and I hope you can put up some pics of it when its finished, or better yet of the process.

Sure will.
Right now I have just looked through the Midway catalog and Ebay. Have to check the other places from home. They block all the good stuff from work. Some how the Firing line snuck through the blockers. Shhhhhh I was not here... I am going to let my Gun smith do some of the work. Remove the barrel Bend the bolt. Install the scope mount. I am going to do the rest. My buddy has volunteered to do the Duracoating. I am good with that. I hate that stuff. |

Don't worry, I didn't see anything. A look at my brownells book shows that you can get an extended mag release kit for $29.99 blued or $34.99 stainless. It says that it comes with the spring and lock. Part number is 4E26V47 for blued and 4E28V27 for stainless. You've probably already found what you're looking for but I hope this helps.
