S&W 45

What would a N-frame, 6" pinned barrel, chambered for 45 ACP be worth? Good shape, slight wear at muzzle from holster. No moon clips. Assume could shoot 45 Auto Rim as well.

Too many S&Ws fit that description, so we need a SN to ID it, and several pics to judge condition.

Well he didn't say it was a 25 and the 6.5 barrel went away in the late 1970s, so the 6.5 barrel would generally mean an earlier gun. This is assuming that the barrel was even measured correctly, from the cylinder face to muzzle.

F.Y.I. I have a S&W model 25-5 and it has a 4 inch pinned barrel, nickel plated.

If it's a 6" .45 ACP, what else would it be?

1917 has 5.5" barrel.

He might be really lucky and have a 1950/M26, but then they are 6.5s.

People are generally frightened they are not getting a DEAL.
If you have to pay a little extra to get what you really want, it won't amount to much spread out over the rest of your life... and your grandson's.
