Ithaca SG rebuild

I have an old Ithaca 37 DS police shotgun. It needs a new butt stock and re-blued. Also will not eject hulls (they hang in the chamber).
Who do you recommend for the work? Do you know of anyone specializing in Ithaca shotgun work?
I know I could probably buy an 870 between what I have in the shotgun (100.00) and whatever the work will cost but I am partial to the lightweight and easy handling Ithaca. BTW this is for a house gun.

Best option would be to send the gun to Ithaca and tell them what you want. You can get the buttstock from somebody like Choate and choose from pistol grip, standard, or folding. The extraction problem can be solved by any gunsmith (sounds like broken extractor or extractors). As for the reblue, may I suggest electroless nickel or Parkerizing? Nearly any gunsmith can do this also. Good luck.
