Is old S&W box worth anything?

Came across this box when cleaning out a house I bought. Pretty beat up. Info:
Model 4516; Caliber .45; Barrel 3 3/4; Fin S; Stock FS; Features AMSF; S/N TEE1707; Product Code 103729; Spec. Ord. 9363

Should I throw it away, or does it have any value?

Thank You.

I would put it up for an online auction w/pics to find out - whaddya got to lose ?

IMO, that model autoloader's not particularly collectible, but you just never know who might be looking for a box for their pet - aka: there's a butt for every seat.......

"Beat up" most likely won't bring much, tho..................

Condition is the determining factor on value. I've seen old S&W or Colt boxes fetch several hundred dollars at evil bay.

Find the guy with the gun that matches that serial number and I'll bet you've got a sale.

Keep it or offer it for sale to someone. Someone out there wants it.

I saw a S&W registered 357 box on evil bay, and it might have been close to a thousand for the box. It was high.

From this site, the 4516 was discontinued in 1997. So the box is 16 years old and they are not making any more. To repeat, someone wants it, might be worth $10.00 might be worth $25.00.
