My brother game me the above mentioned gun. Not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth, BUT.... I was looking it over and it says DO NOT FIRE MAGNUM LOADS on the barrel. Also, I noticed that a magnet does not stick to the receiver. Is the receiver alloy, ie. very weak? This thing junk or is it safe to shoot? Thanks for any input.

Mossberg receivers are oft alloy, never very weak ones. As for Magnum loads, stick to standard stuff, unless the situation calls for something unordinary. Stick to target loads and you'll have a lot of fun with this one..
