Anyone own a Canik55? the Shark model

There's on for sale local that is in pretty good shape and the only want 225 for it. Sorry, no pics, but just basically is a solid 90% looking gun.
Is it worth it for a glove-box gun? Would I be insulting him to offer 200? I've looked around and 250 looks about like a median price, but who knows.

I own a Tristar C 100 - 9mm which looks like the same gun. ( it is made by Canik in Turkey). My C100 is an excellent gun, accurate and has never had an FTF or FTE on any brass ammo I've loaded. If it's in good shape I would think it's a go and worth the $225. Just my humble opinion.

I'd like to look it over first. 225 seems like a lowball price unless it's a problem gun. If it's a good gun, the worst he can do is say "no" to a 200 dollar offer! LUV my T-120!

I own a c100 as well and I'll tell ya it's the best bang for the buck I've ever spent. Buy it if it's in good shape. you won't regret it

Say yes to the Shark

Bought mine at a pawn shop... It was like new... Don't let the low price make you think these are junk, because they are anything but.

Great ergonomics, reliable, accurate... The Canik Shark C is an amazing value for the money.

$225 for ANY working 9mm is pretty darn cheap. You'd never lose money on that deal if you decided not to keep it.

I got mine for 325$ out the door NIB, I don't think 225$ is suspiciously cheap. Buy, its my beat shooting pistol, including one that cost twice as much. Beware, the black finish is terrible, mine is missing about half of it after a year or so, I don't know about caniks hard chrome finish, but surely it has to be better than their black

heres the black

after a year and about 4-5k rounds, and being thrown around the car for a bit

don't take it as a knock on the gun, it's the best gun for the money IMO, just giving you an honest heads up, still a fantastic shooter, and I will ever get rid of it

I've got 3 of their pistols, though imported through TriStar. I've got a T100, T120, and P120. All 3 are good pistols, though I'm not a fan of how light the T120 feels (alloy frame and feels lighter than my polymer guns)...it's a personal preference thing. All are fairly robust, all well made, and all are fairly accurate. I bought all of mine brand new and didn't spend more than $400 on any of them. I still prefer my CZ75 SP01, but my P120 is running a close second for my SA/DA 9mm platform.

Also, Cajun Gun Works is making parts for and modifying them.
