Who shoots lead bullets for their Semi? - Page 2

I shoot mostly lead in my two .45s as well as my mid-range loads for my .44 Magnum. No need to waste money on jacketed ammo when not needed. However, I don't shoot lead in my Glocks as this is the main cause of Glock kabooms when lead fouls the polygonal rifling.

So along with everyone else, shooting lead in a Glock is not advised, but many do and it would not be the cause of a feeding issue.
( I think my feeding issue is with a wierd length or something as I did not reload them.)

P.s. - As I did get a round stuck in the gun (my ammo fault - not Glock), the range officer said, "good thing about these glocks is you can use them as a hammer too!) As he was kinda bangin on the back of the slide - on carpeted shooting bench - ok. I just kept pulling on it and it came back and I shot it off.

I shoot lead out of my 9mm i use a 125 grain lead bullet with 4 grains of unique they work great

My pet load for 45acp is 3.8gr of American Select or Clays under a 200gr LSW.
Accurate and soft shooting for target work.

.45ACP- 200gr LSWC and 5.2 gr of W231. Many thousands fired, many thousands remain to be used :-)

Have a box of 500 Hornady 124gr LRN in 9mm I bought in the last century. Based on this weekend's test I may have to go to the lower limit of what will cycle the gun with the weakest recail spring to find where they won't lead my barrel.

I use lead in all my 9mm, 45 ACP, and .44 loadings. No issues.

Must've missed this thread. I've always been a lead boolit user. 38/357, 44S/M, 45acp/Colt/Casull, 45/70. Some guns have never had a jacketed bullet through them. Some guns have never seen a lead bullet though, the surplus 223's are a good value so get used, and Match bullets.

I use almost exclusively 180gr LSWC for my 10mm handloads (the only semi-auto cartridge I currently reload for) in my S&W 1076. Lately, I've been using Blue Dot but I've also dabbled with Unique and 2400 without issue. I've never had any feeding issues with lead bullets in this gun, but this gun will also feed empty cases so there are probably very few bullets that would give feeding issues.
