I'm planning on replacing the plastic safety and trigger housing on my Mossy 590. Changing out the trigger housing is a snap. But for the life of me, I can't figureout how to remove the mag safety. The screw has that hourglass design which makes it impossible to loosen the screw. Do I need to buy a special bit? Please help. Thanks, guys.

Icopy, there is a special bit made for these but you can remove it by using a drift punch and tapping it around. George

I also managed to remove one by just pressing down while rotating counter-clockwise carefully. It came right out -- easily enough that I was a little surprised it hadn't actually come loose! Of course, reinstalling and tightening it up was no problem. <g>
